PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR USING STARLI, YOU AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE STARLI.

1. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT CREATION

1.1 Age Requirement. You must be at least 18 years of age to create a Starli account.

1.2 Parental/Guardian Status. By entering information about children into Starli, you represent and warrant that you are the legal parent or guardian of those children, or have been granted explicit permission by a legal parent or guardian.

1.3 Accurate Information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

1.4 One Account Per Family. Each family unit should maintain one primary account. Co-parents and caregivers should be added as caregivers, not as separate primary accounts.

2. ACCOUNT SECURITY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
2.1 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
2.2 You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
2.3 You must notify us immediately at support@starli.family if you suspect unauthorized access.
2.4 Do not share your login credentials with anyone. Use the Caregiver Invite feature to grant others access.

3. ACCEPTABLE USE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You agree that you will NOT:
3.1 Use Starli for any unlawful purpose
3.2 Enter false, misleading, or inaccurate information about any child
3.3 Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any other user's account or family data
3.4 Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access Starli
3.5 Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from the app
3.6 Use Starli to harass, abuse, threaten, or harm any person
3.7 Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code
3.8 Share your caregiver invite links or babysitter magic links publicly

4. CAREGIVER ACCESS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
4.1 You are solely responsible for determining who receives caregiver access to your family data.
4.2 You are responsible for promptly revoking caregiver access when a caregiver relationship ends.
4.3 Starli is not responsible for actions taken by caregivers you have invited.
4.4 Babysitter magic links grant temporary access that expires automatically. You are responsible for who receives these links.

5. SUBSCRIPTION, PAYMENT, AND FREE TRIAL
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
5.1 Free Plan. Starli offers a free plan with limited features as described in the app.

5.2 Paid Plans. Premium features are available through paid subscriptions: Starli Family ($4.99/month or $39.99/year) and Starli Family+ ($9.99/month or $79.99/year). Features and pricing may change with 30 days' notice.

5.3 Free Trial. New users receive a 30-day free trial with access to all features. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account reverts to the free plan with limited features. No charge occurs unless you actively subscribe.

5.4 Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5.5 Price Changes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice.

5.6 Payment Processing. All payments are processed by Apple Inc. (iOS) or Google LLC (Android). We do not collect or store payment information.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
6.1 Starli owns all right, title, and interest in the Starli application, including all software, designs, and content created by Starli.

6.2 Your Content. You retain ownership of all data you enter into Starli. By using Starli, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Starli service.

7. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
7.1 AS-IS BASIS. STARLI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

7.2 NOT A CHILDCARE SERVICE. STARLI IS A SCHEDULING AND TRACKING TOOL. IT DOES NOT REPLACE PROPER SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY, WELLBEING, OR ACTIONS OF ANY CHILD OR CAREGIVER.

7.3 LIMITATION OF DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STARLI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

7.4 MAXIMUM LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.

8. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Starli Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from: (a) your use of Starli; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party rights.

9. TERMINATION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
9.1 By You. You may terminate your account at any time by selecting Settings -> Account -> Delete Account. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

9.2 By Us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
10.1 Informal Resolution. Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@starli.family and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

10.2 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.

10.3 Class Action Waiver. YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
